Job Description

Our client requires an Inspection Coordinator to be employed on a staff basis, on a UK contract. This is being offered on a 4/4 rotation, rotating to Luanda, Angola.

Main Duties

* Developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external Clients and project managers.
* Assist the Project Managers with planning, technical input, scheduling and resource allocation to meet project goals & objectives.
* Support offshore operations during mobilisation and demobilisation phases as well a requirement to work offshore as an Inspection Coordinator from time to time.
* Assist with providing a schedule for project resources to meet you specific assigned projects
* Monitor project assigned resources and work progress
* Deliver Improvements in our Data Management capabilities i.e. Integrated Digital Video Foster the Client relationship, looking to increase service levels and quality of deliverables.
* Review and assess personnel under the group competency scheme, ensure experience packs are complete and adequate
* Procedure and report production in support of offshore operations.
* Provide a focal point for HTML Reporting requirements.
* Provide technical support on current and evolving inspection techniques.
* Conduct Project briefings
* Coordination of Inspection, Survey and Data processing requirements for your assigned projects
* Digital video reporting, training of personnel and maintenance of the systems
* Regularly visit vessels and establish relationship with agency personnel
* Motivate Inspection personnel to take ownership of projects and provide better continuity of personnel for projects
* Daily support calls to your offshore projects
* Support HIRA and TRA's
* Support implementation of onshore/offshore IT and equipment support for vessels
* Assist the Project Managers with planning, resource allocation and personnel development to meet project goals & objectives. Developing strong relationships in support of our activities
* Assist with research in technology developments pertaining to Inspection techniques
* Develop departmental portal for Inspection department
* Review new technologies and work methodologies

Requirements

* Educated to HNC/HND level or higher in an Engineering related subject and hold Institute of Welding certificate - CSWIP 3.4U
* Degree Level Qualification ideally within Engineering discipline preferred
* IT literate. Must be fully familiar with MS Office products preferably including Excel, Project and Access
* Looking for opportunities to continue personal and career development
* Preferable to have considerable offshore Inspection Operations experience in a senior role
* Experience of subsea inspection work essential
* Has had involvement in a similar role or with experience of Subsea IRM projects. Involved working onboard Diving Support Vessels and with ROV's on inspection of pipelines & structures
* Working knowledge of computerised inspection management systems i.e: COABIS, Scope, Visualworks, PRISM, Digital Video systems etc.
