Staff Position
My client a global operator seeks a an experienced Mechnical Maintenance Engineer. You will be reporting to the Head of the Containment Integrity and Reliability group, as a part of the Topside group.
Responsibilities:
? Topsides process system equipment.
? Choke Valves, Actuated Valves and Safety Relief Valves.
? RBI based maintenance programs of Safety Relief Valves and Actuated Valves.
? RBI based pressure vessel inspection and planning.
? Develop and maintain systems to effectively monitor and track the condition of defective equipment to avoid/ minimise production downtime.
Travel activity in connection with vendor and offshore visits shall be expected.
Accountabilities:
? Ensuring technical, economical, environmental and safety aspects in all matters within areas of responsibility are assessed in a businesslike manner prior to making decisions or recommendations.
? Ensuring activities follow Company policies and procedures, hereunder confidentiality, as well as applicable International and Qatari laws, rules and regulations.
? Develop and / or improve industrial and personal relations to protect the interests of the Company and promote a productive working environment.
? Ensuring timely preparation, hereunder obtaining approval as applicable, and submissions of all documentation to meet obligations to authorities and partners.
? Ensuring that all information, written as well as verbal, obtained in the course of the work is handled in strict confidence.

Specific Accountabilities:
? Proactively plan, prepare and schedule future maintenance activities ensuring the required level of equipment integrity and reliability within areas of responsibility.
? Proactively coordinate maintenance activities including vendor management within areas of responsibilities.
? Attend and assist supervising major, important and/or critical breakdown jobs.
? Provide inputs for shut down planning activities within areas of responsibility.
? Prepare inputs to the yearly Integrity & Reliability reports within areas of responsibility.
? Ensure that Company procedures, International as well as Local standards and legislation within areas of responsibility are adhered to.
? Ensure that equipment documentation and Periodic, Preventive Maintenance (PPM) procedures are constantly updated within areas of responsibility.
? Ensure proactively day to day offshore support and follow-up within areas of responsibilities.
? Focus and deliver on agreed objectives and key performance indicators.
? Prepare yearly budget and handle budget follow-up and cost control within area of responsibility.
? Ensure day to day improvements.
? Present results of analysis to management.
Responsibility for managing people
? Responsible for vendor management and vendor's personnel mobilised offshore within areas of responsibility.
Skill set/Competences
You are required to possess the following personal skills:
? Technical skills and knowledge enabling the individual to work independently within areas of responsibility and process operation in upstream oil and gas production with only some supervision.
? Good analytical, coordinating, corporation and planning skills.
? Result driven approach and attitude is required.
? Good verbal and written English skills are a prerequisite for the position.
? The strong operational and safety elements in the position requires 24/7 mindset.
Education and Experience
? You must be qualified Marine Engineer or BSC in Mechanical Engineering
? Experience within maintenance of topside equipment in upstream oil and gas production is required.

Skill Set and Competences
The successful candidate must be a leading team player experienced with pipeline design and project execution; capable of leading and guiding others. The candidate must be fluent in spoken and written English and be able to prove experience within the below areas:
- Project management
- Detailed design and reanalysis of pipelines
- Experience with material selection and welding of pipelines
- Fully conversant with DNV-OS F101 and ASME 31.8
- Offshore design codes and good practice design solutions
- Technical report writing
- Working and developing solutions with little or no supervision
The Team
The Pipeline section forms part of the 'Structures and Pipelines' Department onshore. The 'Structures and Pipelines' Department is responsible for the design integrity of new and existing jackets, topside and pipeline facilities.
The Pipeline section provides specialist technical supports to other departments; is responsible for design, fabrication and installation of new pipelines. Additionally the section reviews results from annual inspections and assist evaluation of the results and specifying rectification work.

The open position is an onshore position in the Production department responsible for a safe and efficient offshore operation including high standards within technical, economical and environmental aspects. The operation covers a wide range of activities directly and indirectly related to oil and gas production and the transfer of safety aspects to a robust management system is implied for contribution to a safe execution.
The Safety Engineer reports to the Head of Production Support.
In this position, 10 to 15 offshore days per year are to be expected.
Qualifications
· Proven knowledge of hydro carbon production and associated activities
· Sound knowledge in process safety systems design
· Sound knowledge of Process Safety, Occupational Safety and Auditing
· Sound knowledge of industry best practices and international standards
·Knowledge of management systems with an emphasis on management of change and culture
·Genuine interest in enhancing the quality within all aspects of safety
·Sound knowledge of qualitative and quantitative Risk Assessment, Hazid and Hazop
·Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary and multi-national team
·Good communication skills to effectively disseminate knowledge about HSE management
·Proficient with reporting and report writing
·Able to work independently, have a structured approach and be conscious of delivering high quality solutions
