Senior Reservations Co-ordinator – Corporate Accommodation – Newbury, Berkshire

£15k - £17k Basic + Overtime + Parking + Corporate Discounts

Due to the exciting expansion of their property portfolio in the Thames Valley and South Coast, the opportunity for a talented, service focused individual from the hotel industry has arisen to join a small team of Reservations Co-ordinators with an ongoing focus on rate and occupancy targets and further strengthen relationships within this growing serviced property company.

Working for a successful business that boasts a trebling of their client base in the last year you will be an integral part of the team with a proven track record of exceptional service, client relationship development, problem solving and tireless passion for getting the job done to an exceptional standard. The main objective of your team is to ensure that all clients receive a great experience from initial enquiry through to property occupancy and beyond and as the Senior Co-ordinator you will manage the team in the absence of the Team Manager.

As a person you will have a hard-work ethic with the appreciation that in hospitality the working day never ends – there will be a requirement to be on call 1 night per week and check people in to their properties on a rota basis, therefore, you will need to be able to work extended hours to get the job done – which is rewarded with an ‘on-call bonus’ and overtime. As well as the service focus you will be responsible for developing improvements to rates and managing occupancy effectively to ensure that the rates reflect the premium product and service on offer.

You will have exceptional customer service skills and a good level of commercial exposure which will help you understand how a business works, how critical small decisions can be and have an appreciation for running and maintaining a property, along with an unending amount of common sense. High pressure, fast pace and multi tasking are things that will be part of every minute of your working day, therefore a cool, credible approach and a proven track record of delivering under pressure will be essential to be considered for this role.

You will have an excellent grasp of MS Office with advanced levels in Excel and Outlook and a passion for attention to detail which will ensure that all correspondence is accurate and professionally presented. You will have high standards in everything that you do - everyone in the business is motivated, hard working and feels passionately about delivering exceptional service. You will be well presented and enjoy the challenge of being an integral part of a growing business where your hard work and client development will go towards the business achieving ongoing targeted property growth of 50% in the next 15 months and beyond.

Suitable candidates will come from the hotel industry as a Senior Receptionist or Reservations Co-ordinator from a 4* or 5* ‘big player’ hotel which will have given you the foundation for a fast paced, quality focused working environment. As a person you will enjoy being in a sales/service environment and enjoy the thrill of delivering exceptional service every-time while never taking your eye off the ball.

This is a really exciting and rewarding role for the right person – a person who relishes an ongoing challenge and can bring a strong skill-set of organisational, planning and service expertise to this fantastic business.
