Our client, a global provider of business travel, and one of the UK’s leading business travel agencies, is currently looking to recruit several senior business travel consultants to handle all business travel reservations for several of their prestigious business travel accounts from their busy offices in the centre of Aberdeen
**Please note that although this vacancy is for full time members of staff, my client may also consider applications from part time staff looking to undertake a ‘job share’ (working 2 - 3 full days per week)**
As a senior business travel consultant you will have a good working knowledge of the UK business travel market, and have the ability to build strong relationships with a number of existing business travel clients. You will tailor-make complex travel itineraries for your business clients, and make reservations for all domestic & International travel arrangements with scheduled flights and various ground products (hotels, car hire, rail & ferries). You will be required to act as a first line of support for an individual account, and handle any problems in an efficient & professional manner. You will also liase with the operations division to handle any business travel related fares & ticketing queries and have the ability to offer your clients advice on general business travel practice.
As a senior business travel consultant you will have some proven experience working in a similar business travel reservations role booking scheduled flights and various ground products, and have a good working knowledge of the Galileo or Sabre booking systems. You will be extremely well organised, have the ability to work to tight deadlines, and be able to communicate on all levels. You will also be extremely customer focused, have great attention to details, and have the ability to work effectively in a small team environment. Achievement of a travel industry recognised fares & ticketing qualification, or experience working with marine & offshore fares, would also prove an advantage in this demanding business travel role.

PURPOSE OF ROLE
Our Client, Gullivers Travel Associates, is searching for a Reservations Executive to join the Long Distance Coach (LDC) travel team on a permanent basis. Millions of customers use GTA and this team are responsible for booking long-distance and local transport services across Europe. You will also be expected to offer support to our worldwide sales offices and respond to various suppliers that we use relating to travel services.
Key responsibilities for this role include to:
•Manage the booking process from beginning to end of transport services
•Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with our transport suppliers
•Ensure confirmations and correspondence with suppliers are filed correctly
•Request coach and driver details of all tours as specified by supervisor
•Ensure suppliers receive final itineraries for all tours
•Checking itineraries to ensure current legislation is being adhered to
•Negotiate with suppliers when additional vehicles are required outside of allocation
•Investigate and solve on the road travel problems
